Hungarian regulator reveals digital numbers

Hungary had 1.49 million digital TV subscribers at the end of April, out of a total of 3.1 million homes with some form of subscription service, according to the latest figures released by media regulator the NMHH.

Based on an analysis of the 12 leading providers in the country, the report found that there were 598,000 digital cable or IPTV subscribers and 892,000 satellite customers.

The remaining 700,000 TV households in the country take analogue over-the-air or free-to-air digital-terrestrial TV.
