Malta’s Go chooses Entone for hybrid OTT box

Maltese service provider Go has chosen Entone’s Kamai hybrid set-top to deliver IPTV and over-the-top services to its subscribers across the country.

Go offers fixed-line and mobile telephone, broadband internet and digital TV services.

The Kamai box comes with Ethernet and optional WiFi connectivity, while a USB port can be connected to an external hard drive to provide DVR.

“We needed a reliable and flexible platform for delivering high-quality video services while enabling us to expand our service offering to include high-definition TV, recording and web applications,” said Kelvin Camenzuli, senior manager at Go.  “Because Entone’s Kamai is fully integrated with our interactive TV existing middleware and DRM system, we can instantly introduce further new services without costly equipment replacement or having to disturb our customers.”
