ITV close to Ball appointment

British commercial broadcaster ITV is close to appointing former BSkyB executive Tony Ball as chief executive, according to press reports. However, Ball’s remuneration is reportedly holding up the confirmation process.

Local press reports that the ITV nominations committee, which is run by Sir James Crosby, is baulking at Ball’s wage demands. The issue is expected to be resolved at a board meeting next week.
