Canal Plus wins Polish EPL rights

Pay-TV operator Canal Plus has won the Polish broadcast rights to the English Premier League (EPL) for the next three seasons.

The agreement gives Canal Plus the right to broadcast matches during the 2010/2011, 2011/2012 and 2012/2013 seasons. The broadcaster, which operates the Cyfra Plus DTH platform in Poland, currently offers subscribers up to four live EPL matches in HD, with highlights from all matches featuring in the Sunday Sport Plus show. 

Canal Plus also holds the rights to the top football leagues in Spain, Italy, France and Poland.
