Sanoma pay-TV subs remain stable
Finnish conglomerate Sanoma, which owns the country’s Welho cable network and broadcast group Nelonen Media, ended September with 67,000 pay-TV subscribers, down 1,000 year-on-year. Welhos connected homes numbered 326,000, up from 322,000 a year earlier. Broadband internet connections reached 112,000, up from 103,000.
SanomaÂs entertainment division reported net sales of Â35m for the third quarter, up slightly from Â34.7m a year earlier. Operating profit excluding non-recurring items reached Â3.8m up Â1m year-on-year.
