Ukraine ramps up digital box deliveries

Approximately 400,000 Ukrainian homes have received free digital set-top boxes to date, with a further 485,000 expected to be delivered by the end of the year, according to local reports.

State committee chief Alexander Kurdinovich said that the Ukrainian government had allocated funds for the purchase of 885,000 receivers this year. He said that there was a need to fund the supply of a further 500,000 boxes next year to meet demand from the 1.3 million low-income homes that have applied.
