Austria Sat to launch on October 26

A new satellite platform for Austria will launch on October 26.

Austria Sat, operated by the Luxembourg-based M7 Group, will initially provide 14 channels via the Astra satellite platform at 19.2° East. Channels will include AXN, Animax, RTL Living, Sat 1 Comedy, Kabel Eins Classics, MTV Music, MTV Dance, MTV Hits, MTV Rocks, VH1, adult channels Hustler TV, Marc Dorcel TV and Alpenglühen and sports channel Sport Digital.

The package will cost €7.90 a month with a one-year contract, or €9.90 on a month-by-month basis.
