Tele2 offers IPTV over VDSL
Service provider Tele2 Netherlands has begun offering IPTV via its VDSL network, providing a triple-play package including time-shifted and catch-up TV, broadband and telephony for 34.95 a month for the first year and Â39.95 a month thereafter.
According to Tele2, about 1.5 million homes can now receive its VDSL service, which offers internet services with speeds up to 50Mbps. Tele2 is now focusing on IPTV following the abandonment of plans to resell analogue cable TV over the networks of Ziggo and UPC when regulator OPTAÂs ruling that the latter be forced to open up their networks was overturned by the countryÂs business appeals court.
