Lattelecom plans to expand fibre network

Latvian telco Lattelecom plans to deliver fibre-based services to 300,000 Latvian homes by the end of this year, including passing 60% of homes in the capital Riga.

Lattelecom currently has 19,000 fibre subscribers, out of 150,000 homes passed across seven cities. Lattelecom claims to offer the fastest commercially available internet service in Europe, providing a 500Mbps connection.
