St Petersburg and Kazan to continue with DVB-T broadcasts for now
The Russian cities of St Petersburg and Kazan have decided to continue broadcasting using the DVB-T format in parallel with their launch of DVB-T2 services, according to local press.
The two cities are the first to launch DVB-T2-based digital-terrestrial services. However, they will continue to simulcast in DVB-T in order to give people who have already acquired digital decoders time to make the transition.
