Irish DTT gets off the ground
Ireland has now officially launched its digital-terrestrial TV platform, giving access to DTT services to about 90% of the countrys population.
The digital platform currently offers simulcasts of public channels RTÃ One and RTÃ Two, commercial channel TV3 and Irish-language channel TG4. Saorview, the Irish version of the UKÂs Freeview, will be launched next year ahead of a planned digital switchover at the end of 2012.
