Talk Talk and BT call for review of Digital Economy Act

UK internet service providers Talk Talk and BT have reportedly said they want a judicial review of the country’s Digital Economy Act, arguing that it could harm “basic rights and freedoms”.

According to the BBC, the pair want to see a review to establish whether the law, which calls for persistent illegal file-sharing to be punished by being disconnected from the internet, conflicts with EU law.
