Arqiva to license SeeSaw technology internationally

UK broadcast services provider Arqiva will license the technology behind its SeeSaw online video-on-demand site to international broadcasters, according to various reports.

Arqiva will announce its plans for the platform at IBC on Friday. The company told news site Paid Content that its proposed licensing of the technology is a direct result of market demand and inquiries it had received since it launched SeeSaw in January.

Arqiva acquired the technology from Project Kangaroo, a proposed joint-venture online service for the UK that was scuppered by the country’s competition commission.
