Aster selects Motorola for RFoG trial

Polish cable operator Aster has selected Motorola for a pilot commercial deployment of RF over Glass (RFoG).

Motorola said its RFoG solution would enable Aster to economically roll out an advanced fibre-to-the-home network and deliver new ultra-broadband triple-play services. The roll out will include the deployment of Motorola’s SG4000 modular optical nodes, which will enable Aster to extend its reach into previously unconnected areas and serve more subscribers.
