TNT Sports unveils Premiership Rugby’s broadcasting plans

BT Group and Warner Bros. Discovery’s joint venture, TNT Sports, is to broadcast three live matches along with new programming of the Gallagher Premiership Rugby across each weekend from Friday to Sunday.

discovery+ will also be the new streaming home for Premiership Rugby, with live coverage, full match replays and extended highlights, live in-play timeline markers available.

The Gallagher Premiership Rugby season kicks off today, with live coverage on TNT Sports 1 and discovery+. A 45-minute build up segment will also provide a comprehensive preview of the weekend’s upcoming fixtures.

Saturday’s games will go live on TNT Sports following the conclusion of the Premier League fixture. While, live coverage on Sunday will include a 30-minute build-up, complemented by a new 45-minute analysis and opinion show, The Rugby Review that will air at the conclusion of the live fixture.

Among the new programming, includes an dedicated fan-first show will also provide in-depth analysis and opinion from professionals, coupled with interactive polls for fans.

Also working in collaboration with Premiership Rugby and Buzz16, TNT Sports’ coverage will include new broadcast features such as real-time highlight clips from simultaneous live fixtures, multi-cam set-up, as well as, BatCam, WireCam and CineCam functionality.
