Vietnam’s SCTV secures exclusive five-season deal for LaLiga

Vietnamese pay TV operator SCTV has secured exclusive rights to Spain’s LaLiga for the next five seasons.

LaLigaSCTV has secured the exclusive Vietnamese rights to stream all 380 matches and a range of other highlights, weekly previews, news and review programmes.

Having held shared broadcasting rights since 2018, from this season onwards SCTV will be the exclusive home of LaLiga in Vietnam for the next five seasons until 2027/28. SCTV will also broadcast selected matches from Spain’s second tier, LaLiga Hypermotion, as well as the entire series of play-off matches which determine the final promotion place from the second to first tier.

SCTV has broadcast major sports in Vietnam over the past 10 years, including badminton, golf and tennis, as well as LaLiga EA Sports and the Bundesliga from 2012-2020.

LaLiga has also been home to a number of prominent Asian football legends over the years including current players Takefusa Kubo (Real Sociedad) and Gaku Shibasaki (CD Leganés).
