Volia agrees deal to broadast Ukrainian Premier League football

Ukrainian cable operator Volia has agreed a deal with the Ukrainian Premier League to broadcast the matches of 12 professional football clubs playing in the UPL on Volia TV.

Subscribers are now able to watch the early matches of the new season of the Ukrainian Premier League on the service.

Volia TV will also broadcast the matches of the first round of the championship, involving local teams Veresa, Vorskla, Desna, Kolos, Kryvbas, LNZ, Metalist 1925, Mynaya, Obolon, Oleksandria, Polissia, Chornomorets and Shakhtar.

Volia said that the matches of three teams that did not join the collective agreement will also be available on Volia TV.

Volia TV also broadcasts the dedicated football channels of streaming service Megogo, enabling viewers to legally watch UEFA European Cup matches.

Volia subs are also able to watch the football championships of England, Germany and France as well as Ukraine on Volia TV.

Volia said that its customers would be able to watch not only have the domestic championship, but also the UEFA Super Cup between Manchester City and Sevilla, and in September the group stages of the Champions League, Europa League and Conference League, where Ukrainian teams will be involved.
