‘Billy The Cowboy Hamster’ to air on Tiny Pop in UK

The animated series Billy The Cowboy Hamster is to make its debut in the UK on Narrative Entertainment’s free-to-air kids channel Tiny Pop.

The series lands first on the on-demand service Pop Player from August 7 and will shortly after air on the Tiny Pop channel from August 28.

Billy The Cowboy Hamster is an adaption of the children book of the same title by Dutch author and illustrator Catharina Valckx.

It follows a Western-loving hamster who loves dressing as a cowboy and raised on the exciting stories told by his father. With a burning desire to hit the trail, he heads out on an adventure with his best friends.

The UK independent TV broadcaster launched Tiny Pop in 2007, with its programming targeted to kids aged 4-6. Its roster of popular shows include Cookie Monster’s Foodie Truck, Gigantosaurus, PJ Masks, Gabby’s Dollhouse, Strawberry Shortcake and Dino Ranch.

The deal was brokered with French production company Dandelooo. Tiny Pop will air season one of Billy The Cowboy Hamster.

Narrative Entertainment recently announced it will launch its kids channel POP MAX nationwide on July 19. The POP MAX, which has previously only been available on linear TV via digital satellite.
