World Netball launches live OTT streaming service

Sport association World Netball is to launch an OTT platform that will broadcast all 60 world cup matches live and on demand.

NetballPass will be available to countries where broadcast rights have not been sold on an exclusive basis.

Netball fans will be able to watch live matches from the NWC2023, taking place from July 28 to August 6 in Cape Town, South Africa. Coverage will also include match statistics, results, fixtures, standings, player, and team stats.

The OTT streaming service will be priced at GBP £5, with additional footage from the five Regional Netball World Cup Qualifiers.

On demand content will be free and available 30 minutes after the match in countries where broadcast rights have not been sold on an exclusive basis, and then to all countries globally 48 hours after the ending of each match.

Qorld Netball CEO, Clare Briegal said: “Over the last few months, we have announced broadcast deals in each of our five World Netball regions with leading global broadcasters. Host broadcaster SuperSport will ensure each of these broadcasters receive high quality coverage to make the Netball World Cup 2023 a world class celebration of netball.
