Simplestream teams up with Telus to enhance Optik TV

TV solutions provider, Simplestream, has teamed up with Canada’s communications technology outfit, Telus to enhance their Optik TV Livestreaming offering which delivers live sports and community programming to Canadian households.

Telus’ Optik TV operates in the the Canadian provinces of British Columbia, Alberta, and Quebec.

The partnership aims to build a Livestream Scheduler for Optik TV community programming.

The Optik TV Livestreaming service provides local sports programming, including national, regional and youth sporting events spanning hockey, basketball, soccer, volleyball and ringette – as well as faith, arts, culture, science and community programming.

The capabilities of Livestream Scheduler include the ability for content partners, their user groups, and users to deliver and manage live programming using an intuitive web-based UI.
