1+1 and Paramount Global launch Nickelodeon channel in Ukraine

Ukrainian broadcaster 1+1 and Paramount Global have joined forces to launch the kids and family-friendly-centered Nickelodeon channel in Ukraine.

Launching from 1 June, the channel will be available on a number of platforms with localised content including a Ukrainian track, including OTT, Viasat satellite packages and cable networks.

Viewers will have access to shows and programmes in their native language, these include global hits SpongeBob SquarePants and Puppy Patrol,

Audiences in Ukraine can already watch fully localised popular series such as all five seasons of Dangerous Henry, as well as the first seasons of Danger Squad, Nate Almighty, Casagrande.

The highly anticipated SpongeBob SquarePants spin-offs Camp Coral and The Patrick Star Show will also debut on the Nickelodeon channel in Ukraine.

“The launch of Nickelodeon with Ukrainian-language content is a landmark event in the history of Nickelodeon in Ukraine, bringing favourite children’s characters closer to the Ukrainian-speaking audience. Thanks to our productive cooperation with 1+1 media, we are preparing more than 500 hours of outstanding shows in Ukrainian, and the library of localised content will be replenished every day. We are very excited to communicate with our viewers in their native language,” Paramount Global said in a statement.
