Sky News unveils audio format

Sky News is to run a free audio format of the linear channel in the UK, Ireland and US, in partnership with streaming audio platform TuneIn.

The Sky News audio offering will includes podcasts, on-demand news for smart speakers and news content for commercial radio stations.

According to TuneIn, the company broadcasts over 100,000 owned & operated and partner radio stations. With premier distribution across 200 platforms and connected devices. TuneIn Premium subscribers get exclusive access to commercial-free news from networks such as CNN, Fox News Radio, MSNBC, and Bloomberg.

The audio format can be accessed via the TuneIn mobile app, web browser, connected devices such as Alexa, Sonos, Google Home, and in any car model compatible with Android Auto or Apple CarPlay.
