Bouygues Telecom launches ‘European first’ live shopping service on TV

French service provider Bouygues Telecom has launched a new live shopping TV app on its Bbox decoders and mobile devices.

The service, B-Live Shopping, has been developed in partnership with client engagement specialist Skeepers and is currently available to 270,000 Bbox subscribers.

Users can access Live Shopping via their set-tops or via a mobile app and can shop for goods from brands including Monoprix, la Redoute and Decathlon.

Bouygues claims to the be the first operator to offer this kind of service to French households, enabling access to e-commerce via the TV.

During live sales pitches from content creators or brands, viewers can interact to get more details on products and services or benefit from exclusive promotional offers.

Customer can buy goods direct on the live platform or can make purchases later.

Having access the app via their TV, users can search by brand, by theme or type of product and access different live or on-demand sessions.

“We are delighted to offer to our customers this unique Live Shopping experience from the user interface of our box. We are convinced that this new channel for discovery and sales is going to become one of the standards for brands and we are pleased alongside Skeepers to be the first European telecoms operator to propose it to our customers. Today five big brands have expressed their confidence in us and we are planning to offer over a hunder via the application between now and 2024,” said Laure Joslet, deputy CEO in charge of residential and professional markets.
