Tele Columbus targets wholesale market with new appointment

German cable operator Tele Columbus has appointed Peer Lodbrok to as wholesale director in a move the company says reinforces its drive to open up its network to third party players.

Tele Columbus said that the newly created position reaffirms its non-discriminatory opening of the network as a key part of its corporate strategy.

The operators said that, in addition to existing wholesale partnerships, further agreements should ensure an even greater variety of offers for the housing industry and increase the utilization of the company’s own networks.

Lodbrok has over 25 years of business and leadership experience as an international sales manager. Most recently, he was responsible for major customer sales in the global telecommunications and IT business at Telefónica Deutschland.

In his new role Lodbrok reports directly to Markus Oswald, CEO of Tele Columbus.

I am therefore pleased to welcome Peer, a proven specialist and market expert, as our new director of wholesale. With his expertise, we want to further increase our attractiveness as a supply partner for the housing industry and activate additional demand potential for our broadband infrastructure,” said Oswald.
