The new launch is designed to meet a demand from customers for a more flexible entertainment offer and to be at the forefront of a market that is constantly evolving, according to the operator.
Telmore launched Play in 2014 and since then has worked to get the biggest streaming services on board. The operator currently has agreements with all five leading streaming services in the Danish market.

Nuuday/Telmore cited a study by research outfit Wilke that showed that Danes use 3.2 streaming services on average, while 45% say they are likely to subscribe to a maximum of between three and five. In addition to the five leading streaming services in films and series, Telmore Play will also offer an audio and e-book service as well as the music streaming service Telmore Musik.

The revamped service is on sale from today, providing a choice of all-in phone and data and four optional streaming services for DKK399 a month, with the first month available for DKK99.

“We make a living from having happy customers, and therefore we react when we experience a demand for a flexible entertainment offer that makes it possible to put together exactly the streaming services you want,” said director of Telmore, Henrik Lehman.

“The launch speaks directly to our strategy of being insanely strong in streaming-based entertainment. A strategy we are already delivering on is, among other things, being the provider with the absolute most on-demand entertainment. But of course, we aren’t stopping there. We have to grow even stronger, which we will be with the new Telmore Play, which makes it possible to put together a tailored entertainment package at a very competitive price, where you have a free choice between all the leading streaming services on the market.

“We have succeeded in building a strong business around the Play universe, which most Danes know by now and know is more than just a mobile subscription. We are the smart solution that brings together mobile, music, films, series and audiobooks in one subscription for one fixed, monthly price. We must maintain and strengthen that position, and we believe that more freedom of choice is the way forward.”
