Warner Bros. Discovery secures rights to Ligue 1 in Spain

Warner Bros. Discovery has struck a deal with the exclusive international distributor for premium French football, beIN Media Group, to acquire the exclusive broadcasting rights to France’s Ligue 1 football in Spain for the remainder of the 2022-2023 season and the 2023-2024 campaign.

The new agreement means that Eurosport Spain will deliver full exclusive coverage of the French football league across its TV channels and digital platforms in Spain. Spanish viewers will be able to follow two league matches live on Eurosport Spain channels, while the rest of the matches will be available to watch live and on demand on the Eurosport App.

Warner Bros. Discovery penned the agreement with benIN Media Group and the key properties of the Ligue de Football Professionnel, specifically Ligue 1 Uber Eats and Trophee des Champions.

Coverage of the French football league will kick off this weekend with a live broadcast of the AS Monaco vs PSG game on Saturday 11 February, 5pm in Spain. The match can be watched on simulcast on Eurosport 2, Spanish FTA channel DMAX, and the Eurosport App.
