M7 strikes raft of new deals in German-speaking markets

M7 Deutschland, Canal+-owned M7 Group’s German cable network offering, has struck distribution agreements with eight new service provider customers.

The outfit has struck deals with network operators komro, Stadtwerke Merseburg, Regionet Schweinfurt, R-KOM, Stadtwerke Konstanz, Stadtwerk Tauberfranken and VS Media as well as Kabel-TV Lampert in Austria.

The latest raft of agreement means that M7 now supplies channels to over 160 network operators in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Liechtenstein and Luxembourg.

M7’s distribution partners can offer their customers around 130 free TV and pay TV, special interest and international channels, mostly in HD quality. Most channels come with additional interactive functions, including restart of current programmes, network DVR and multi-screen availability via smartphone/tablet apps.

“More and more network operators are recognizing the high added value of a modern, flexible TV offer, with which they can convince their customers of the performance of their networks, open up new sources of revenue and position themselves against the competition,” said Marco Hellberg, managing director of Eviso Germany GmbH, M7’s business partner in Germany.

“We are pleased that eight other network operators from Germany and Austria have opted for our tailor-made solutions for the modern TV supply of their customers.”
