Global icon Cara Delevingne to talk about sex at MIPCOM

With just a few days to go until MIPCOM 2022, it looks like the re-energised content market will be rolling out the red carpet to several global stars. The latest to be announced is Cara Delevingne, who will be attending alongside studio Fremantle.

Delevingne, who has her own production company Milkshake, will present a special showcase of her forthcoming documentary series Planet Sex with Cara Delevingne. Delevingne, who serves as an executive producer on the project, will be accompanied by Simon Andreae, CEO Fremantle UK, founder of Planet Sex producer Naked Television and fellow exec producer. The session will feature first-seen footage and a special ‘in conversation with’ both executive producers.

Planet Sex sees Delevingne, an award-winning LGBTQ+ icon, approach the major questions surrounding human sexuality; visiting communities who view and experience gender and sexuality in contrasting ways and helping people tell their stories. The six-part series is jointly commissioned by Hulu and the BBC, with global rights handled by Fremantle. Andreae said: “We have loved collaborating with her on this remarkable series, which explores the most fundamental aspects of gender and sexuality in epic scope and intimate detail.”

MIPCOM 2022 is expected to be a major comeback for the global content industry, with 10,000 execs due to attend. More than 250 exhibiting studios and distributors from 45 countries are confirmed.
