Cross-channel TV advertising firm Simulmedia has announced the appointment of Jon Werther as its executive vice president of operations and business development.

The appointment marks Werther’s return to the company where he previously served as president and chief revenue officer between 2010-2012.

Most recently, Werther served as EVP strategic partnerships and new business development for the upstart Professional Fighters League (PFL). He has also held multiple positions at Meredith Corporation, including president, and spent more than a decade in a variety of executive positions at Time Warner and its AOL division.

In his new position, Werther will oversee the company’s operations and serve to provide innovation at the TV advertising company.

Dave Morgan, founder and CEO of Simulmedia, said: “Jon is one of the most talented executives I’ve ever had the privilege to know and work with, beginning over 15 years ago. I’m thrilled to welcome Jon back to the company to streamline our operations and elevate our business relationships to deliver on our TV+ platform’s unique promise of cross-channel reach and results across the linear and CTV advertising ecosystem.”

The announcement of Werther’s return comes shortly after Simulmedia announced a renewed data-licencing partnership with Xperi-owned TiVo.
