Blue Ant Media promotes pair in FAST drive

Craig Junner and Andrea Harrick

Canada’s Blue Ant Media has promoted Craig Junner to SVP of programming & content strategy, global media, and Andrea Harrick to VP of content acquisitions, global media, to help support the company’s ongoing FAST expansion.

Long-time execs Junner and Harrick are credited by Blue Ant as playing “integral leadership roles” over the past 12 months as the company launched four new FAST channels in the US and Canada – including HistoryTime last week.

In his new role, Junner will continue to lead programming strategy for Blue Ant’s pay-TV and FAST channels. Since joining the company in 2011, he has led all areas of the company’s content team in Canada from channel partnerships to acquisitions and development of original series to content scheduling.

Harrick, who also joined Blue Ant Media in 2011 has, during her tenure. supported the company’s content pipeline for its media channels in Canada and internationally. She is further credited for securing thousands of hours of programming, much of it exclusive, as part of the company’s push into FAST.

“In less than one year, Blue Ant Media’s expanding FAST portfolio has seen us building four new media brands, HauntTV, Total Crime, Homeful and HistoryTime, and distributing them alongside Love Nature’s free streaming channel,” commented Jamie Schouela, president of global media at Blue Ant.

“Craig and Andrea’s promotions are not only a reflection of their leadership in Blue Ant’s current content strategy, but also the work ahead as we continue to create new free streaming channels for platforms around the world.”
