Free launches Ligue 1 website

French service provider Free has launched a website dedicated to Ligue 1 top-tier football to complement its existing Free Ligue 1 Uber Eats app.

Free holds the rights to transmit near-live highlights of Ligue 1 football. The company said that in order to maximise access to Ligue 1 coverage, it was launching a website to enable football fans to access its free-to-view content, covering goal highlights and match summaries, more widely.

Like the app, the website offers all goal highlights as near-live along with match highlights 15 minutes after the final whistle.

The app and website also offer a summary of the day’s events transmitted after the highlights package is over.

The responsive design website is available to computer, smartphone and tablet users.

Free launched the Free Ligue 1 app as a vehicle for its coverage of match highlights. The app is available on iOS and Google Play, while the highlights are also transmitted on Free’s TV service on channel 63.

The service is available at no extra charge to Freebox and Free and Série Free mobile customers, while subscribers to other service providers can access the content for €3.99 a month without an ongoing contract commitment.
