SKY Sports renews LaLiga deal for Mexico and Central America

Spanish football League LaLiga has renewed its broadcast rights deal in Mexico and Central America with SKY Sports.

The deal will run for eight seasons from the 2024-25 season onwards, and see SKY Sports be the exclusive broadcaster of LaLiga Santander and LaLiga SmartBank in the region.

The league said that the deal represents a “significant increase” over the existing tender. 

The deal comes as a result of negotiations between Mediapro and LaLiga North America. 

The league also said that the deal represents an opportunity for its teams to increase their brand presence in “one of the most strategic markets in the global soccer industry.”
