Eutelsat’s 9° East position has been selected by Zeonbud to distribute its content in Ukraine.
Zeonbud is the nationwide Digital Terrestrial Television operator transmitting Ukraine’s 33 major channels. It reaches approximately 40% of the population and covers 95% of the territory.
The long-term contract signed with Eutelsat will see the operator leverage the EUTELSAT 9B satellite over Ukraine to feed its DTT network, and potentially extend its offer to a DTH service beyond the reach of its existing tower infrastructure.
Philippe Oliva Eutelsat’s Chief Commercial Officer said: “We are excited to welcome Zeonbud with its high-quality content offer as part of our line-up on EUTELSAT 9B, further consolidating our position in the dynamic Ukrainian Broadcast market.”
Irina Alyabyeva, Zeonbud’s Chief Executive Officer, added: “We are delighted to partner with Eutelsat and leverage the 9° East position to ensure the best quality of service delivery of our of national channels to our viewers, and access the optionality of extending our reach through alternative distribution models.”
