YouTube promotes former Deutsche Bank analyst to head of TV and film EMEA

YouTube has promoted Laurie Davison to head its TV and film operations in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

Davison, who previously covered the media and entertainment sector as an analyst at Deutsche Bank and Goldman Sachs, will oversee the platform’s relationship with broadcasters, production companies and studios, public service broadcasters and pay TV groups across the three regions.

Davison was appointed as manager, strategic partnerships, TV and film at YouTube earlier this year, having worked at Deutsche Bank for 10 years prior to that. From 2014 he held the post of director, media and online equity research at the bank.

Prior to Deutsche Bank, he served as executive director, TMT equity research at Goldman Sachs covering music, pay TV, advertising agency ad technology.

In his new role at YouTube he will report to Tomos Grace,  media companies solution lead who oversees media and sports at the video platform.
