Ocilion launches cinema release premium pack with new Universal movies

Austria-based white label IPTV and OTT platform provider Ocilion has launched a premium movie package as part of its Kinostart offering that provides access to a range of new releases that would be available in cinemas but for the coronavirus lockdown.

The offering will kick off with a range of Universal recent releases including Emma and The Invisible Man, with Trolls World Tour to come on April 23 and The Hunt on May 14.

Ocilion said that it was in negotiations with other studios to expand the content on offer.

Other movies that will be available as part of the package in line with their current DVD and Blu-ray release window include Das perfekte Geheimnis, Le Mans 66 (aka Ford v Ferrari) Stephen King’s Doctor Sleep, Jumanji: The Next Level and Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.

Hans Kühberger, managing director of Ocilion IPTV Technologies, said: “We are the only vendor that provides network operators with an IPTV solution including a seamlessly integrated video library. Now we are making additional cinema films available in their cinema release window. We are currently seeing a doubling of film views, which speaks for the attractiveness of our own VOD service. Network operators can also advertise their offer with licensed promos. We are in negotiations with other studios to offer even more films in the Premium Movie Package.”
