Casa e Cozinha will debut on April 8 and will be dedicated to home design, cooking, fashion, beauty, travel and wellbeing. NOS said that the launch was taking place at a time when Portuguese people are largely confined to the home environment due to the coronavirus crisis.
The channel, which will be available in HD, will be distributed exclusively by NOS and will come with advances features such as restart TV and multiscreen availability through the NOS TV app. It will, according to NOS, feature 16 different programming formats and will deliver 300 hours of first-run content.
The show will focus primarily on cooking and decoration. Shows will include A Nossa Cozinhawith Portuguese chef Maria José Sousa, Cozinhamos Contigo, presented by chef Lúcia Ribeiro and home decoration show Personaliza a tua casa, presented by blogger Sofia Pereira.
Dreamia is responsible for a range of thematic channels including Panda, Biggs and Hollywood. The company was originally set up as a joint venture between Liberty Global-owned Iberian content outfit Chello Multicanal and NOS predecessor company Zon’s multimedia unit Zon Multimedia.
