The first is Eurosport 4K, the UHD iteration of Discovery’s sports network. The channel initially launched in May 2018 in the UK on Sky Q and Virgin Media to coincide with the French Open tennis tournament. Since then, Eurosport 4K has expanded to other nations including Germany and Austria.
The other channel being launched by Discovery is HGTV, the company’s flagship lifestyle brand. Discovery had previously announced that the channel was to launch in Italy, along with 11 Central European nations.
