OTT sports disruptor DAZN is reportedly in talks with Sky Italia to launch a channel on the pay TV platform.
As reported by Italian daily newspaper La Repubblica, negotiations are apparently at an advanced stage, with only details such as costs and conditions for Sky customers remaining to be sorted.
In Italy, DAZN owns rights to three Serie A matches per week, along with the Spanish La Liga, the English FA Cup and Championship, the EFL League Cup, Eredivisie, Ligue 1, the Chinese Super League, MLS, and the Japanese J1 league.
The proposed deal will see the pay TV DAZN channel air the ‘best of DAZN’s programming’, which includes the Saturday night Serie A match.
La Repubblica also reports that DAZN is in discussion with TIM to be a part of the company’s TIMVision IPTV service.
