OTT video specialist Vewd and video technology outfit iVideoSmart have teamed up to provide content creators, broadcasters, and publishers a joint platform to expand their reach through streaming video.
iVideoSmart has integrated Vewd Snap, which creates a TV app that works on Vewd enabled devices. The joint product from iVideoSmart and Vewd Snap offers the potential to iVideoSmart clients to reach the 50 million Vewd-enabled devices shipping each year in more than 150 countries, according to the pair.
iVideoSmart is a partner in bringing Asia- and Latin America-based content owners into the Vewd ecosystem. iVideoSmart handles the processing of online video from ingestion of content to hosting, through to management and distribution via Vewd Snap.
Vewd Snap delivers an HTML5 app that is distributed through the Vewd App Store and can be monetized as the content owner chooses.
Existing customers for the partners include GMA 7, Cachicachi, NetViet TV, AriRang TV and Canal Futura.
