Security specialist Verimatrix has moved into the Internet of Things (IoT) market with the launch of cloud-based platform, Vtegrity.
The platform is designed to secure connected devices and services – providing protection for device software and communications, alongside proactive threat detection.
Verimatrix said that Vtegrity will addresses the security gaps that exist with many current IoT services – both at initial deployment and over the lifecycle of the application.
“The IoT market can be characterised as a large number of business applications that rely on device-to-cloud communication to generate value for the customer and revenue streams for the service provider,” said Verimatrix CTO, Petr Peterka.
“As the market matures, the critical nature of overall application integrity has become more apparent. All revenue streams must be underpinned by a comprehensive approach to security—and the weakest link has often been shown to be at the device level.”
Vtegrity is based on Verimatrix’s established security technologies and partnerships, and aims to offer the same benefits as its VCAS revenue security solution for pay TV.
Verimatrix will exhibit at IBC in hall 5, stand A.59
