Canal+ teams with L’Équipe for new sports offering

French pay TV operator Canal+ has teamed up with the country’s leading sports paper L’Équipe to launch a new digital offering for canal+ sports fans.

The new offering will, according to Canal+, combine Canal+’s sports offering, including content from Canal+ Sport, BeIN Sport and Eurosport with L’Équipe’s editorial content.

The multiscreen service will be included in Canal+’s premium offerings and will be provided with the first month free to new subscriber to its sports pack. It will generally be available to subscribers for €9.99 a month, available on mobiles, tablets and PCs as well as via MyCanal and via LÉquipe’s own site.

L’Équipe will be launched on August 23, featuring Ligue 1 football, Top 14 French rugby, Formula 1 motorsports and boxing, among other sports.

This 360° offering brings together the biggest competitions live from our channels and the 24-hour news coverage from L’Équipe.
