The commercial director and chief operating officer of the DTG, Keith Wilkinson, has announced his retirement after nearly 10 years at the UK technology body.

Wilkinson, who joined the group from the BBC, was responsible for the administration and commercial direction of the organisation as well as operational management, financial control and human resources. He also acted as company secretary.

DTG CEO, Richard Lindsay-Davies, said: “Keith has been a great asset to the team and leaves us with a level of operational excellence and financial rigour second to none. We all have fond memories of his time with us and are indebted to his commitment and attention to detail which has helped create the effective and efficient organisation the industry enjoys today.

“Fiona Headon ACA, our Financial Controller of many years, has been promoted to Financial Director and Hellena Briscoe will take on Keith’s HR responsibilities. Please join us in extending our very best wishes to Keith in his retirement.”

The DTG is the non-profit UK collaboration centre for innovation in digital media technology, set up in 1995 with the purpose of looking after the digital TV marketplace. It underpins the free-to-air platforms Freeview, Freesat and YouView, and supports the development of pay TV and other platforms.
