Satellite operator Eutelsat has named Yohann Leroy as deputy CEO in addition to his current role as chief technical officer.

Leroy will serve alongside co-deputy CEO Michel Azibert, who is also Eutelsat’s chief commercial and development officer.

Leroy joined Eutelsat in 2010 as director of strategy before assuming the role of Director of Engineering in 2013 and chief technical officer in 2014.

Rodolphe Belmer, Eutelsat CEO, said: “Yohann has made a significant contribution to Eutelsat’s development and to our senior leadership team. His appointment as Deputy CEO, alongside Michel Azibert, reflects both his talents and the breadth of his skills.”

Eutelsat last week appointed Mike Antonovich as CEO of Eutelsat Americas, replacing Patricio Northland, who is leaving the group. Antonovich has held a number of senior industry roles including head of sales at PanAmSat and, more recently, as CEO of Genesis Networks, SVP for the Americas at Ateme and SVP of global sales for Global Media Links in Japan.
