Szymon Karbowski, research and development director at Polish cable operator Toya, has left the company to pursue new challenges.
Karbowski will be replaced at Toya by his long-standing deputy, Michal Domanski.
Karbowski’s career at Toya included overseeing the launch of a hybrid TV platform, helping make the company a pioneer of advanced TV services in the country.
Lodz-based Toya is the country’s fourth largest operator after UPC Poland, Multimedia Polska and Vectra. The company has sought to expand its scale by striking supply agreements with smaller local players in the country’s highly fragmented cable business.
Last month, Toya acquired existing partner T-Mont to expand its reach in the Krakow region, with a plan to expand its network across the whole city within the next two to three years.
