Aalborg’s AN-TV signs up for eSports TV

eSports TVDanish cable operator Stofa’s partner community antenna network in the city of Aalborg, AN-TV, is to make the Modern Times Group-owned ESL’s eSports TV channel available to its subscribers.

AN-TV will make eSports TV for DKK20 (€2.70), available through any of the network operator’s packages.

Stofa has a long-term deal to supply TV services and high-speed broadband to Aalborg resident’s over AN-TV’s network.

eSports TV launched on MTG’s Viasat platform last year following the company’s acquisition of the eSports giant. The channel offers coverage of major eSports events including the Intel Extreme Masters, ESL Pro League and DreamHack.

MTG acquired Turtle Entertainment, the Cologne-based company behind ESL in 2015 and more recently acquired DreamHack as part of its ongoing investment in eSports.

ESL recently struck a deal with Spain’s Telefónica to develop a platform with exclusive content for its own Movistar+ pay TV service.
