Canada-based video app platform You.i TV has hired Dan Speer in the new role of chief operating officer to help drive the company’s international growth.

As COO, Beer will e responsible for aligning You.i TV’s  management processes with an expanding partner network. He previously headed up two groups at IBM – the performance management software division, a US$350 million (€310 million) business at which he was responsible for strategic direction and operations, and mergers and acquisition integration, for which he led due diligence and integration of more than 20 acquisitions with more than US$1 billion in acquired revenue.
