Media services company Arkena has agreed a partnership deal with content delivery network (CDN) services firm Akamai.
The agreement is designed to accelerate rollout of advanced media services worldwide and is part of Akamai’s NetAlliance Programme.
The deal will see Arkena combine its live and on-demand media management services with the scale and reach of Akamai’s global CDN. It will also integrate Akamai’s global CDN services with its cloud-based OTT platform.
“The OTT video market is growing rapidly worldwide and our partnership with Akamai will allow us to reach new territories and extend our footprint with best of breed quality for end users,” said Arkena’s chief marketing officer, Ivan Dulguerian.
Akamai’s head of EMEA channels and alliances, Florence Hoppenot, added: “We are delighted to partner with Arkena and help our joint customers to deliver their OTT video and other content at a high quality wherever and whenever users want.”
