German cable operator Tele Columbus has upgraded its network in Magdeburg via its local subsidiary, MDCC Magdeburg-City-Com.
The upgrade means that from July 1, some 80,000 households in the city will have access to 240Mbps internet access. The operator has invested some €4 million in upgrading its network in the city to offer ultra-fast internet.
MDCC has also upped the speed of its popular MDCC-HIT package from 16Mbps to 30Mbps at no extra cost to subscribers.
MDCC CEO Guido Nienhaus said the company would offer its housing industry partners the opportunity to add value to their networks.
