AMC’s international TV network, AMC Global, has struck a deal with operator KPN in the Netherlands, which it says will make the network available to 95% of Dutch pay TV homes.
The broadcaster said the KPN deal marked a “new milestone” with the AMC Global to launch in the region on July 1, 2016.
AMC will be carried in KPN’s ’PlusPakket’, making the channel available in 7.5 million pay TV homes the Netherlands, and will air popular AMC shows like Fear the Walking Dead and Into the Badlands.
“Under this milestone agreement, we will be able to bring AMC’s critically acclaimed and hugely successful content to a wider audience. We look forward to bringing fans in the Netherlands the unique and compelling world brought to life by our original programming,” said Ed Palluth, executive vice-president of global distribution for AMC Networks International.
