TV technology company SeaChange has appointed former Motorola executive and software and telecommunications veteran, William Markey, to its board.
Markey will take the seat formerly held by Carmine Vona, who retired from SeaChange’s board in December 2015, bringing with him experience in corporate development, strategy, and mergers and acquisitions.
“With his strong background in software, emerging technologies and SeaChange’s core markets, we anticipate Bill will bring immediate advantages to our team,” said SeaChange CEO, Jay Samit.
Markey is president of Relevant C Business Group, a private consulting firm he founded in 2002 to assist telecoms, media and tech companies with strategy and execution – often for emerging technologies.
Prior to this co-founded Ucentric Systems, a software company that was acquired by Motorola in 2005 and provided connected home software solutions to TV operators, which was acquired by Motorola in 2005. He has also held management roles at 3Com and Motorola.
